Sale or Resale…That Is the Question?
Before 2010 began [and quite possibly the latter half of 2009], I was a girl who frequented the malls, shopping plazas, and boutiques in search of the latest accessory to add to my ever-growing closet. My parents, however, found it interesting that a girl who grew up shopping in thrift stores for fine china and antiques had suddenly bloomed into a young lady who frowned upon returning to such delicacies. Imagine their surprise when on their latest trip to Orlando, FL, the main focus was THRIFTING. Amongst the busy streets of the Winter Park and College Park areas, I have found that Orlando, FL has many hidden treasures, all awaiting that lucky shopper to graciously walk through its doors. My early Christmas gift to you? A list of stores that I find truly are worth their secrecy.
Dechoes Resale - with 2 locations in Orlando, look for more of a selection at the College Park location
Paris Market - located on Fairbanks Ave. closer to I-4
Plato’s Closet - having multiple locations across Orlando, my personal fave is in Waterford Lakes
Orlando Vintage Clothing Company - this location features a costume shop as well as vintage items dated by year from the early 1900s
Salvation Army - can always count on the Casselbury location to have a weekend sale
Goodwill - also has multiple locations but the Orange Blossom Trail one has stolen my heart
Enjoy and Happy Thrifting!
